Liberty Round Table

Don L. Tiggre is a writer whose work has mostly gone unsigned or signed by someone else. He has published several articles under various names, DLT being by far his favorite. His first novel, Y2K: The Millennium Bug, was a finalist for the Prometheus Award; he has several other fiction projects in various stages of progress.

Don Lobo Tiggre, the name he took upon himself when he first conceived of the ideas of the Liberty Round Table and the Knights of Non-Aggression, is Spanish for "Sir Tiger Wolf." He prefers "DLT", or "Lobo" to "Don," as that makes him feel as though people are calling him "Sir" -- a bit too formal for his taste! This Spanish title suits him fine, however, as his mixed bloodlines include Spanish ancestry, as well as (central) Amerind, Anglo-Saxon, and even Oriental heritage. It is a name of his own choosing, a name that he will not sully by asking the state for "permission" to adopt it.

And that's important because Mr. Tiggre is a freedom fighter. No, not a guerrilla from the South American jungle, but a word warrior. He seeks to create powerful combinations of ideas that will propagate through our culture and destroy the ideas which enable and perpetuate the aggression-based social institutions that bind people down. It is interesting and full of implications to him that the most powerful tool ever invented by our species, language, was not created by fiat of any central authority or committee; it evolved over the ages out of the ungovernable myriad interactions between individual human beings. This tool, which enables our very thought processes and ability to work with others, is subject to the absolute control of no authority, but can be influenced by every living person.

This is what the organization DLT founded is all about; the Liberty Round Table seeks to empower individuals by informing them about the freedom philosophy, educating them on how to apply it in their own lives, and motivating them to help spread the ideas. The difference between the Liberty Round Table and a think-tank is that LRT is action-oriented. The group has several projects up and running that individuals can participate in without needing to join anything or send in dues. DLT advocates a thorough individualism and the organization he created seeks to pursue it while actually practicing it -- everything the group has done has been a coordinated sum of individual actions, with no one "in charge" or having any authority to compel compliance or spend other people's money.

As well as being the first Knight of Non-Aggression, DLT is the father of four rowdy boys and one equally-rowdy daughter, an avid skier, a devourer of chocolate, a lover of nature, and a science-fiction enthusiast. If you ever wondered what happens to the brainy misfit who develops a passionate dislike for being pushed around in grade school, meet Don L. Tiggre and find out! You can contact him at Tiggre@free-market.net, or via snail-mail care of the Liberty Round Table at 325 Front Street, #254, Evanston, WY 82930.
