Sir,
The law under which Mr. Jordan is charged allows an affirmative defense for feeling threatened. The highways of Ohio are being stalked by a sniper. I would feel threatened in Ohio until he is captured.
Before Mr. Jordan was indicted, your state formally legalized concealed carry, which should have rendered the case moot.
Your state Constitution specifically protects the right to carry a defensive firearm.
The second amendment to the U.S. constitution specifically protects the right to keep and bear arms.
The U.S. constitution requires every state to recognize and accept every other states' legal documents (whch is why Ohio accepted Mr. Jordan's driver's license). Mr. Jordan had a New Hampshire carry permit.
Five separate reasons why Mr. Jordan should never have been charged in the first place. Five separate reasons to acquit. Why not save the money that would be spent on a needless trial? Why not dismiss the charge that should never have been filed?
