googlebomb logoFor December, we're taking aim at the food Nazis at the deceptively-named Center for Science in the Public Interest.

The CSPI revels in taking the joy of good food out of your life by issuing safety and nutrition alerts based on bad science, no science, and outright lies. We guess they just hate their own lives and thus can't stand to see anyone else enjoy life.

So here's your chance to help the world realize how wrong CSPI really is. It's fun and easy!

All you have to do is place a little code on your web site, then bring it to the attention of Google.

  • In the <HEAD>: section of your main page, place the following meta tags:
      <meta name="keywords" content="google bomb, food myths, junk science, science fraud">
      <meta name="dc.subject" content="google bomb, food myths, junk science, science fraud">
      <meta name="robots" content="All">
  • Next, place a hyperlink to CSPI somewhere in the body of that page:
      <a href="http://www.cspinet.org">Food Nazis</a>
  • Upload the updated page to your web server.
  • Register with Google to schedule your site for spidering. Be sure to use the URL of the page in which you put the google-bomb code.

Please use the keyword and dc.subject content as shown above; the more identical instances of this exact phrasing the search engine spiders see, the better our search placement. Feel free to add to these keywords, but it works better if you don't leave any of these out.

Now then ...

There's no particular reason to play only with Google. I suggest that you register the google-bomb page with every 'net search engine you can think of. AltaVista and Yahoo also spring to mind. The more search engines in on this, the better.
