Liberty Round Table projects

One of the main functions of the Liberty Round Table is our projects. Lots of pro-freedom individuals talk about problems in our society today, and while we do our share of talking too, we take it one step further: we do things as well. Our goals with each project are to: engage in an activity that is a peaceful protest against some form of institutionalized aggression; to poke fun at the Powers That Be and their pathetic attempts to control the world around them; to get pro-freedom ideas into wider circulation in our culture; and to have fun.

So far, our projects have tended to be activities that an individual can participate in on his or her own, with little cash investment. In keeping with our mission of voluntary cooperation among individuals, each friend and Knight of the Liberty Round Table can choose what projects to participate in, and pass on the ones that aren't of interest. That said, in years past we have coordinated funds totalling over $15,000 for projects, including our annual essay contest for young scholars, our conclave, and assisting Peter McWilliams in his defense. Every penny of that goes straight to the activity participants support--we have no offices or staff to pay for, nor do we get paid in money for our work.
